‘THE TROUBLED SLEEP OF PIANO MAGIC’ BANDCAMP VINYL PLEDGE CAMPAIGN
Due to (hopefully) popular demand, with the aid of Bandcamp, we’re finally able to offer a vinyl pressing of Piano Magic’s ‘The Troubled Sleep Of Piano Magic.’ The only proviso is that we reach our campaign target within 30 days from now. If we don’t, well, it won’t get made! Pretty simple! Previously only available on CD and digitally, we’re offering ‘The Troubled Sleep…’, remastered by Noel Summerville, on double vinyl, completely re-designed by Martin Andersen/Andersen M Studio – full colour outer, inner bags and disc labels with bonus track, ‘What Does Not Destroy Me.’ There’s also the option to buy one of ten test pressings and the option to have your name, as a sponsor, included in the artwork.Once we reach the campaign goal, we’ll press the button, Bandcamp will manufacture the record and they’ll send it out to you directly. Note : signed copies are not available because the record will be sent directly from source (ie – they will not pass through the hands of the band). If you have any questions, pop them in the Comments below and we’ll do our best to answer them. Very important to reiterate : if we don’t reach our campaign goal within 30 days, the record won’t get made, so please share!!! You won’t be charged until the campaign is successful. ‘LOW BIRTH WEIGHT’ 20th anniversary vinyl re-issue
We’re delighted to announce that, on the occasion of its 20th anniversary, for the first time since its original 1999 release, Piano Magic’s ‘Low Birth Weight’ album is now available again on vinyl. The record’s original label, Rocketgirl, have re-issued the release, beautifully redesigned, with new sleeve notes by Glen Johnson of the band and previously unseen pictures from Simo Bogdanovic’s original photo session.
Greatly inspired by the experimental rock band, Disco Inferno and late 80’s/early 90’s “dreampop,” ‘Low Birth Weight,’ was recorded between Nottingham and London by a revolving cast of characters that included Pete Astor (The Loft/The Weather Prophets), Simon Rivers (The Bitter Springs) and minimalist electronic duo, Isan.
Lyrical, emotional, playful, ‘Low Birth Weight,’ serves as a fascinating bridge between late 90’s dream pop and experimental electronic music. Released 13th September 2019.

Praise for ‘Closure’ :
“The group’s final album ranks with their best” 4 stars – Mojo
“….recalls the art-rock of 4AD acts such as Pale Saints…There’s also Go-Betweens-style melancholy…intricate guitar lines recall Television’s…” 8/10 – Uncut
“Smooth, finely crafted and very songwriterly affair (with echoes of Talk Talk, The Auteurs and Roy Harper)” – The Wire
“Closure is undoubtedly a reliably contrarian, brutally honest and uncompromisingly human album for a great band to – at least try – calling it quits on.” – Delusions Of Adequacy
“…as fitting endings go, it’s absolutely the kittens’ whiskers.” – Terrascope
“These masters of dark wave have certainly left an indelible mark”- 4 stars – Songwriting Magazine
“Their final album finds them in rude artistic health. If you want to know what you’ve missed, Closure provides an excellent hint.” – Shindig!
